Howard Webb will ref another Red Devil match this weekend as he will be the man in the middle for Newcastle's match v. Manchester United this weekend.
I've never seen anything quite like this. Tremendous execution... and it's in this guy's shed. Probably not your link if you're deeply troubled by co-opting religious imagery for secular art.
We've been lied to... again. The dreaded buy-out clause in Demba Ba's contract will apparently still be in effect during the January transfer window. Let the panic resume. On a side note: how long will Ba be referred to as "the former West Ham striker"? I guess if he leaves in January, the media will have to switch to "the former Newcastle striker."
This won't apply to a large majority of our readers, but a very vocal section of the commenters here will be interested to know that SBN has added a blog dedicated to the coverage of all things US Soccer (sorry purists, it's fitting here). This is long overdue, and they're doing it up right. If you frequent other footy blogs on the network, you'll likely recognize some of the names involved. Head over to SSFC for all things Hope Solo, Brek Shea, hot dogs, chips that aren't actually just french fries, and flags with snakes on them. 'Murica!
So Graham MacAree beat us to this one, but there is a new Alan Pardew tribute video. Except it's not a typical video... Words cannot accurately describe. Just click the link.
While this most directly concerns Arsenal, I think two things: 1) It's pretty well written and 2) on a very macro level, it's underlying points affect every Premier League club. Worth a minute if you've got it.
According to the link, Arsenal are preparing a £15 million bid for Cheick Tiote. Obviously, it's entirely probable that this is just another rumor (the same link mentions that Man Utd is unhappy with Rooney and might consider selling him), so I'm taking this report with a large grain of salt. However, in light of Song's transfer, Tiote does make a lot of sense for Arsenal (plus he speaks French!).
And to think, Arsenal was already having problems.
