Australian defender at heart of forfeit decision due to "administrative technical error".
With the loan word on the lips of many Newcastle supporters following the performance of the young players selected to play v. Bordeaux, this story has a very tenuous link. 19-year-old Curtis Good was selected by loan club Bradford City for their second round FA Cup match v. Brentford City and he started the 1-1 draw that subsequently played out. Somehow, the proper channels had not been followed by Bradford with regards to registering Good for the competition, and the club have now been informed that they will not be allowed to contest the replay as they have been expelled from the competition.
Curtis played the full 90 in the match in question which was only his second appearance for the Bantams since joining them on loan in late November. Although you would mostly hope that a defender might go the route of the Offensive Lineman of American football and have their name mostly out of the limelight, there is a bit of "hey, at least they're playing him" even if only in cup competitions to this point.
