Hey guys

Don’t forget about our new Predictions League…you have until 5 minutes before kick-off to make your picks.

Also, let’s make sure we don’t post about illegal streams in here. Use Twitter or something if you’re desperate.

Lineups will be posted shortly.

Cabaye passes fit and will start!

And HBA will start on the right over Obertan and Raylor.

Lineups

FFC: Stockdale | Kelly, Hangeland, Senderos, JARiise | Sidwell, Murphy ©, Dempsey | Duff, Zamora, Ruiz
Subs: Etheridge, Briggs, Baird, Hughes, Frei, Gecov, Johnson

NUFC: Krul | Simpson, Williamson, Coloccini ©, Santon | Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Guthrie, Jonas | Best, Shola
Subs: Elliot, Ferguson, Perch, RTaylor, Gosling, Obertan, Lovenkrands

Dembele is indeed out for Fulham. For NUFC, HBA and Cabaye start as mentioned. Lovenkrands is apparently back. No sign of Vuckic or Abeid. Fergie finally makes the bench.

HBA and Cabaye? Can I change my prediction to 12786812- 0?

They'll be 13 points back at the end of the weekend likely, right?

I don’t think that they’ve got the fortitude to make it up… but historically larger margins have been made up.

I think so

They did a little bit of this last week. He spent a lot of time on the right. It works because Santon can lock down the left.

by Robert L. Bishop on Jan 21, 2012 3:06 PM GMT up reply actions

I like it

Especially if they continue when Cisse/Ba return. Gives them numbers going forward and solid choices on the wing w/Santon and Simpson or up the middle with Jonas/HBA.

by Pradajames on Jan 21, 2012 3:09 PM GMT up reply actions

well we are missing cisse and demba ba and tiote

so if pards left HBA on the bench for this one then the “pardew hates HBA” rumors would really take off

Proximity to goal

criterion not met on the initial pull… Simpson covering on the tackle. I don’t see it as a red on either count, but the announcers and surely the Fulham supporters will beg to differ. The announcers because we don’t belong, the supporters because, well… they’re supporters.

..
In assessing whether the conditions have been satisfied, the referee should use certain criteria. The primary criteria can be classified as the “Four Ds.” The first D is distance, followed by direction (of play), defenders (location and number), and derriere (whether the offence was committed from behind). In addition to these criteria, the referee should also consider whether the player was in possession of the ball or had the opportunity to gain possession of the ball.

This had to have been a talking point in the Refs Association after Cahill was wrongly sent off against Chelsea for a foul fully on the mid line just like Santon’s first foul.

I don't know.

I’m trying to play it back with the roles reversed, and I’m not sure I’m going ape if it went the other way. I think Mason called it right on both counts. It’s a yellow if he calls the first and doesn’t play the advantage, it’s a yellow where he called it. I know it’s going to be a talking point for the heads and Fulham kids, but I don’t think there’s anything in it at all.

Even if we lose

At least it won’t be embarrassing at this scoreline, although the way we gave up the lead was.

You can blame the refs

And they were at fault to a small extent but all of their goals were scored off longs balls from a counter attack… It’s on Williamson and Colo because the fullbacks disappeared after they were booked

I agree

Never should have allowed them to get in to those positions, but those were two absolute shit calls. Cant score pens w/o the referee.

THe 2nd definitely felt like a penalty for me

If not Krul’s challenge, then Williamson’s. The 1st should have been outside the area but I fear that Santon would’ve been given a 2nd yellow for denial of a goalscoring opportunity if it wasn’t a pen

Concur.

Krul got down and saved the ball. Once he’s committed you can’t expect him to get out of the way of the player running through.

Incomprehensible that we can

so comprehensively take the first half and then just show so poorly for the second. I want to be furious, but I don’t know who to be furious at. Can’t be Mason because we lose even without the penalty calls… Is it Pardew? Did the players just go on the fritz? Ugh.

Some blame goes to Simpson and Santon. They were terrible today.

Id put some on Pardew as well

Once Johnson came on, he didn’t adjust. Line was way too high.

Santon was great for 40 minutes

I mean superb. Then the last 5 of the first half into the first 5 of the second he was awful. We didn’t recover from that really— I think some blame has to go on Pardew for not making a change when things started going pear-shaped.
