Two up top for NUFC, Shola and Best. Raylor back in midfield, HBA on the bench again (sigh). Harper can’t even make the bench at home anymore.

HBA for Cabaye

If he was hurt, why did he get up so quickly to go after Derry?

Don’t think anyone knows but him. But thou shall not question thy Cabaye.

If Leon can find his scoring shoes again we should be just fine without Ba…for now.

Just got in

Gunners lost to Swans, so we are level on points (but behind on goal differential). Awesome!

by Robert L. Bishop on Jan 15, 2012 8:25 PM GMT reply actions

No easy games on PL so another great 3 pts

Thought we got bad Shola in big doses today where Ba would have probably added to his tally had he played,
Big pluses Santon and HBA hoping Cabaye is not badly injured.

by wuds100 on Jan 15, 2012 8:27 PM GMT via mobile reply actions

Only saw 1st half

But agree that Shola wasn’t very positive. There were at least 2 or 3 instances where he was just overpowered trying to receive the ball. Ba wouldn’t have been muscled off like that.

by Robert L. Bishop on Jan 15, 2012 8:50 PM GMT up reply actions

Think he is playing out the rest of his career limited

He won’t be good to go twice in a 7 day period but should at least be at full speed against the mackems.

Question....

Do you guys think we’ll actually sign anyone this transfer window? Because I don’t think we will. I think Pardew looks at it like we’ve done this well so far with what we got why can’t we finish the season like this. I just hope he at least buys a CB because if Colo were to go down I’d be afraid of what could happen.

by MychalShannon1 on Jan 16, 2012 11:01 PM GMT reply actions

We are linked with new players everyday it seems, but I dont think we will either. Do you know when the window is over?

Pardew is a tricky guy he wanted us to think he wasn’t gonna buy anyone and now he finally does with the signing of Cisse! But he’s away with Demba and Senegal at the African Cup of Nations :(

by MychalShannon1 on Jan 17, 2012 7:54 PM GMT up reply actions

I think we might get a defender in, only one player if no one goes out

I am reading that we are linked with Olympique Lyonnais left back, Aly Cissokho.

Yea i’ve seen the links with him too. Much rather have Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa or Yohan Benalouane at the moment. Who both have great potential in my opinion. I think we’re good at LB..Santon has done well there. Now I know there’s interest in Danny Simpson from Fulham and Everton….Say we were to sell him to one of those clubs for a decent amount than I’d be all for the Cissokho deal…But for now we need a centre back the most.

Sorry I kinda rambled on for a bit there.

by MychalShannon1 on Jan 17, 2012 8:10 PM GMT up reply actions

I would be over the moon if we got Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa

That guy can flat out play and can move across the back 4. With the Cisse signing, this would put the cherry on top provided we don’t sell Ba, Tiote, or Krul.
