Sorry this is late
Got the time zones mixed up. Could have sworn Ohio was Central. Lineups will be up momentarily.

Newcastle posted
Colo and STaylor switch sides. Marveaux is back

Apparently we're not too keen on describing the action
Footy on the radio is such a beating.
by Robert L. Bishop on Jul 27, 2011 12:39 AM BST reply actions
ugh, this is a little rough
I like the line-up though. If we’re going to run a 4-4-2, this seems pretty close to what we’ll probably do. Interesting that Taviner is playing on the right AND Enrique got the start after the episode over the past couple of days.

Well, it's not like there are a lot of outfield players right now
Commentator has gotten a little better
by Robert L. Bishop on Jul 27, 2011 12:46 AM BST up reply actions
That's true
But I figured if we were going to go through the trouble of having Dummett fly out, we may as well let the boy play.

Great!
How did he score?

Lee Ryder
Kevin Burns made a shocking backpass and Ameobi was alert to nick the ball and steer it past Gruenebaum to net #nufc first goal of the tour

Off a mistake but i'll take it :)

It happens in the Prem too
Last year Carroll scored off of a back pass by Alex
by Robert L. Bishop on Jul 27, 2011 12:51 AM BST up reply actions
More detailed, from the Official Site
Skipper Marshall, playing at right back, passes inside to Eric Gehring but it’s slightly undercooked and Ameobi robs the long haired defender of the ball and holds him off as he advances into the area. Ameobi draws the keeper and slots home right footed low to Gruenebaum’s left. A first goal for United on the tour.

I updated the post with the Crew lineup
Refresh if you care to see it

It's weird that he got fined and Joey didn't
I’m all for getting him out of here. the sooner the better
by Robert L. Bishop on Jul 27, 2011 1:14 AM BST up reply actions
I'd like to get a decent sum for him
I worry that this whole episode might lower his value.
by johnjmurphy17 on Jul 27, 2011 1:15 AM BST up reply actions
I think we will get 7-8 mil, if we can get more for him, that would be amazing.

I agree with what he says but I think he is dead wrong for putting it on twitter
No matter what, he is playing for NUFC and has to show some respect. He said the fans deserve better from the management, the fans also deserve better from its players.

Thanks, I mean I really liked him
He has just been annoying with his attitude ever since he decided he wanted to leave. I mean look at Barton, he is in a worse situation and couldnt be more classy.

He's had his moments
But when it came time to put his head down and work, he did so
by Robert L. Bishop on Jul 27, 2011 2:23 AM BST up reply actions
Jonas hasn't said a peep
Other than the Italy comment, which was pretty innocuous, he has had the most class of the lot.
He’s my favorite player for a reason.

I can see that Renteria is not a common name in England,
but it puzzles me that so many people on twtr think it’s hilarious
by Robert L. Bishop on Jul 27, 2011 1:15 AM BST reply actions
yeah
And the goalkeeper for the Crew just got a red card!!
by johnjmurphy17 on Jul 27, 2011 1:23 AM BST up reply actions
Wow, red card on the keeper
The announcer was NOT happy about that.
by Robert L. Bishop on Jul 27, 2011 1:47 AM BST reply actions
Sounded like it was headed down by Ba on the set piece

Andy Grey voice
“Well you just can’t lead any better than that”
by johnjmurphy17 on Jul 27, 2011 1:49 AM BST up reply actions
Marveaux took the corner
Dummet on for Colo
by Robert L. Bishop on Jul 27, 2011 1:49 AM BST up reply actions
Unfortunately, I think we'll learn his name very soon
I like the kid… but he is still a kid. No Enrique, that’s for sure. He is also playing in the middle right now with Enrique next to him…. awkward.
by johnjmurphy17 on Jul 27, 2011 1:52 AM BST up reply actions
Wouldn't mind seeing Tavernier getting some PT over there
Of course, the best option is going to be on the transfer market
by Robert L. Bishop on Jul 27, 2011 1:53 AM BST up reply actions
Exactly
Like I said in my preview, I think when it comes to our most secure option, it’s probably Jonas :-(
by johnjmurphy17 on Jul 27, 2011 1:54 AM BST up reply actions
That's 2
He’ll get to 5 yellows in 7 games, just you watch
by johnjmurphy17 on Jul 27, 2011 1:53 AM BST up reply actions
Smith on for Tiote
Read today that Orlando City were interested in Alan. Heh
by Robert L. Bishop on Jul 27, 2011 1:57 AM BST reply actions
That'd be funny
Man United to Newcastle to Orlando City… how the might have fallen.
They may be able to offer us the right price… like season tickets to Disneyworld or a team supply of orange juice
by johnjmurphy17 on Jul 27, 2011 2:01 AM BST up reply actions
I really want Best to score
I still dont know why they have him on the transfer list, I think he could be alright, at least better than Ameobi.

Team sounds good so far,
playing a counterattacking style. Harper hasn’t been bothered
by Robert L. Bishop on Jul 27, 2011 2:17 AM BST reply actions
Jonas off, Abeid on
Window dressing at this point
by Robert L. Bishop on Jul 27, 2011 2:21 AM BST reply actions
Lots of offside calls against NUFC
Not all Best, either. Wonder if it’s a result of the Crew playing a high line or eagerness from our boys
by Robert L. Bishop on Jul 27, 2011 2:22 AM BST reply actions
I'm OK with a few offsides calls
shows spirit.
Also, Gosling has had a LOT of shots it seems like. Good to hear. He and Ben Arfa are basically new signings, so coupling them with Marveaux, Cabaye, and Ba… we have a very different looking team
by johnjmurphy17 on Jul 27, 2011 2:25 AM BST up reply actions
Vuckic scores on a chip!
Great way to end the tour
by Robert L. Bishop on Jul 27, 2011 2:26 AM BST reply actions
Lee Ryder
That is a fantastic goal from Vuckic, he bobbed and weaved before curling a superb shot into what US fans called the upper 90
by Robert L. Bishop on Jul 27, 2011 2:27 AM BST reply actions
It's so awesome that Harris is only 18
and Fergie is still 19…
Those are two SERIOUS up and commers right there, folks.
