According to The Guardian Steve Harper has joined Brighton on Loan for a month.

Now I realize that Tim Krul in my estimation at least is better then Stevie and he probably won't get any playing time soon anyways but what if Krul got injured I know blasphemy. But can you imagine a premiere league game with Rob Elliot between the posts my god man what a travesty that would be; I mean we owe some of our league position to our goalie now don't we, Newcastle needs a decent back-up for Krul, Harper most likely feels entitled to that #1 spot which I'm sure he may have some points but he isn't getting it and will probably leave if he gets the chance. Newcastle needs a decent #2 that can come in a pinch just in case.

So Newcastle needs a #2 Goalie and another Striker anything else??

By the way anyone else realize how crazy it is to think that Newcastle is tied for 3rd I mean really pinch me, HAHA
