Good morning, Toon Army. Back to the grind.

Stop crying.

Chris Hughton believes Newcastle can pull off a shock against Manchester City on Sunday, according to Lee Ryder of The Chronicle. Similarly, Fabricio Coloccini and Jonas Gutierrez hope to take down countryman Carlos Tevez.

Hughton spoke out in support of Kevin Nolan, telling Craig Stoddart of The Northern Echo that he has "no worries about a player like Kevin." Nolan himself told BBC that he has not lost his optimism about the team, despite the ugly result vs. Stoke City.

Look! Another story about a manager supporting his player. Seems a lot of these stories are written during the week after a disappointing defeat. Sky Sports reports that Hughton is supportive of James Perch even after his own goal.

Chris Hughton is optimistic about Steve Harper's return, according to the BPL Official Site. I'll believe it when he's on the field. A shoulder injury can be tough for a goaltender to get over.

Nile Ranger continues to give interviews where he gushes over Sol Campbell. In Lee Ryder's piece, Ranger also reveals that Hughton has told him that he is "close to first team action." We shall see.

Sky Sports is reporting that Newcastle have signed French midfield prospect Yven Moyo on a free. Speaking of French midfielders, France manager Laurent Blanc has been keeping his eye on Hatem ben Arfa, according to Lee Ryder.

Finally, Kazenga LuaLua scored another goal for Brighton, this one a game-winner.
